DBTS Welcomes New Faculty Member

Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that Dr. Ryan Meyer is officially joining the faculty of DBTS as Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages. Dr. Meyer has been serving as the administrative assistant for the seminary for the last five years, teaching in the Inter-City Baptist Bible Institute, and has been teaching language courses as an instructor at DBTS for the last two years.

Dr. Meyer studied Biblical Studies at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, completed his B.A. in Historical Studies from Empire State College, his M.Ed. from Liberty University, his M.Div. from DBTS, and his Th.M. and Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation was titled “‘This Generation’ in Matthew 24:34 and the New Exodus”

Prior to coming to DBTS, Dr. Meyer served as a pastoral assistant for two years at Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany, NY, where he led the youth group and children’s educational ministries, as well as serving as administrator of their Christian school for one year.
