Ryan Meyer, PhD
Assistant Professor of New Testament
Dr. Meyer joined the faculty of DBTS in 2022, after teaching as a part-time instructor for two years.
He studied Biblical Studies at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, completed his B.A. in Historical Studies from Empire State College, his M.Ed. from Liberty University, his M.Div. from DBTS, and his Th.M. and Ph.D from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation was titled “‘This Generation’ in Matthew 24:34 and the New Exodus.”
Prior to coming to DBTS, Dr. Meyer served as a pastoral assistant for two years in western New York. He teaches regularly at the Inter-City Baptist Bible Institute, leads small-group and adult Bible studies, and provides pulpit supply.
Dr. Meyer and his wife have two children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, taking walks with his wife, and watching football, baseball, and basketball.
