Dr. Rod Decker

One of our seminary graduates, Dr. Rod Decker, is suffering from stage 4 incurable cancer. Rod is Professor of Greek and New Testament at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA. Recently, Rod and a colleague spoke about their health situations in chapel at the seminary. Rod’s presentation is titled “I’m Not Afraid to Die.” You can read it here. Oh my, I’m so sorry. Will do. Praise God for the good news and glad hope of the Gospel, and of a Savior who doesn’t just talk about death and eternal life, but conquered the one that He might give the other.
About thiry years ago I sat in class with Rod Decker and was impressed with his aptitude and scholarship. He was always driven to serve God with all his strength. I gained a great deal of respect for him and am sorry to hear of his ordeal. I know he will be welcomed among the Saints and I pray for God’s best for him.
