Ministry Overview

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Hector and Paola were sent to Zambia in 2012 by Genezeret Baptist Church in Monterrey. For the past three years the Garcias have helped a Zambian pastor-in-training to plant a church in a poor neighborhood on the edge of Kitwe. Hector visits new contacts, shares the gospel with others and disciples believers. Church attendance has now reached 90 people.

Community Outreach

Paola volunteers at orphanages around Kitwe – including the one where they met their adopted son. She has organized a ladies’ group that supports orphaned children financially so they can attend school.

Goals

After a brief home assignment, the Garcias intend to return to Zambia to plant one new church every three years.
