Dr. Ryan Meyer

Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages

Dr. Ryan Meyer became the Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages at DBTS in 2022, after serving as the administrative assistant for the seminary for five years.

He studied Biblical Studies at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA, completed his B.A. in Historical Studies from Empire State College, his M.Ed. from Liberty University, his M.Div. from DBTS, and his Th.M. and Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation was titled “‘This Generation’ in Matthew 24:34 and the New Exodus”

Prior to coming to DBTS, Dr. Meyer served as a pastoral assistant for two years at Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany, NY, where he led the youth group and children’s educational ministries, as well as serving as administrator of their Christian school for 1 year. He teaches regularly in small group and adult Bible studies, as well as doing pulpit supply. 

Dr. Meyer and his wife have two children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, taking walks with his family, and watching football, baseball, and basketball.
