The cost per credit hour for the Master of Divinity degree is $245.

How long does it take to get a degree?

We offer 3-year and 4-year programs for full-time students, though some students, depending on their work and family situations, may take longer to finish.

What are the housing options?

Our seminary office ([email protected]) would be happy to connect you with housing leads in the area.

How do I apply?

Our application process is completely online. Click here to apply.

Can I transfer credits from other institutions?

If the credits from another graduate institution are C or above and correspond to the class requirements in our catalog, they can be transferred. For specific questions about course transfers, contact our registrar, Dr. Aloisi.

Do you have any programs for my wife?

We offer the Seminary Wives Institute. Wives of students are also able to take or audit DBTS classes free of charge and have access to Inter-City’s Monday night Bible Institute courses.

What job opportunities are there?

We compile a list of job opportunities in the surrounding area. Contact Olivia Elwart to access this list.

What degrees do you offer?

We offer MDiv and ThM degrees. We also provide counseling certification through ACBC.

Do you have distance education?

We offer our ThM program entirely through distance education, where students can join classes live using video conferencing software. Availability of the distance ThM may vary depending on one’s state of residence. Please contact the seminary office to see if this is an option for you.

Are you accredited?

DBTS is approved by the Michigan Department of Education to grant degrees. Because DBTS is a ministry of a local church, we have not pursued accreditation. The lack of accreditation has not negatively affected our graduates’ ability to be placed into ministry. Additionally, our graduates have been accepted into post-graduate programs in seminaries like Dallas, Master’s, Midwestern, Puritan Reformed, Southeastern, Southern, Trinity, and Westminster.

Are there opportunities for me to get involved in ministry?

Inter-City Baptist Church is a healthy and growing congregation with great ministry opportunities. There are also several church plants and church revitalization efforts by DBTS graduates in Southeast Michigan.
