Interview with Chris Anderson: Writing Hymns

by | Jan 25, 2013 | Uncategorized

Dave Doran sat down with Chris Anderson recently and asked him about pastoral ministry and modern hymn writing for the church. Chris served as church planter and pastor at Tri-County Bible Church in Madison, OH, from 1998 until just a few weeks ago. He recently assumed the role of senior pastor of Killian Hill Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA. Chris has had the privilege of writing texts to over 20 God-centered hymns for church worship  and authoring or co-authoring several resources, including the Gospel Meditations series.

In this segment, Chris talks about Church Works Media (the organization through which he releases his hymns and books) (0:01); his approach to writing hymns (4:27); a new congregational recording from Church Works Media (6:30); song style (11:35); and appropriate songs for congregational worship (21:54).

You can also check out separate videos that highlight the specific subjects in this talk (Church Works Media and Songs for Congregations).
