You wouldn’t buy a car without first getting behind the wheel, and we believe the same approach should be taken when choosing a seminary. It’s easy to make great claims, but claims can only be proven or disproven by experience.
If you’re trying to decide if DBTS is a good fit for you, we invite you to take one free course for seminary credit.
Interested? Contact our seminary and ask about our Test Drive program. Click here to email us.
The program is open to current Juniors and Seniors in college, or to college graduates who are seriously considering DBTS
For those who do not live in close proximity to the seminary, we recommend you take one of our summer block courses (1 week or 2 weeks in length). If your situation allows for you to take a semester-long class, you are welcome to do so. Visit our class schedule to see which classes are available.
Since you are taking the class for full credit, your course work will include attending lectures, taking examinations, and completing reading assignments. Term papers are also required for some courses. For summer classes, reading and papers are generally due later in the summer.
Your first step would be to contact the seminary either by phone or email and express your interest in the Test Drive program. We ask that Test Drive students fill out a full online application, although references and transcripts are not required for the Test Drive program.
No tuition, library, or student fees will be charged for this course. Any textbook costs, which are kept to a necessary minimum, will be paid by the student.
For those who need housing while taking the Test Drive program, we will provide it free of charge by setting you up with a host family.
Yes. The credit earned will be applied to the student’s transcript at DBTS after his seminary application is officially completed, which includes the receipt of a final transcript stating that the student has received his bachelor’s degree.
Although we hope the Test Drive will convince you, the credit you earn can be transferred to another graduate institution, if so desired, after receipt of a final transcript of your bachelor’s degree.
