DBTS 2020 Graduate: Joshua Roland

by | May 20, 2020 | Articles

Since we were not able to hold our commencement this year at DBTS, we are highlighting one of our graduates each day. Today we would like to recognize Joshua Roland.

Josh was born in Denver, CO, in 1984, the son of Ralph (late) and Carol Roland. He came to Christ during a missions conference at his church, South Sheridan Baptist Church (now Red Rocks Baptist Church) when he was 7 years old. Josh graduated from Bob Jones University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and in 2008 with a Master of Arts in Bible.

At DBTS, we recognize that our students could not get through their programs without the faithful and loving help and support of their wives, especially, and their family. Josh is married to the former Caroline Lee of Roswell, GA, and they have five daughters, Evangeline, Cosette, Abigail, Josey, and Marnie.

Josh is an associate pastor at Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell, GA, where he helps lead the youth and outreach ministries of the church.

I, personally, am thankful for Josh’s desire to continue to learn and grow through seminary even after being in ministry for several years. Josh is the first student to graduate from our extension site in Georgia. After graduation, Josh plans to continue in pastoral ministry and be involved with church planting.
