Special Edition of DBSJ Released

The 2016 Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal is now available for download.

This 21^st volume of the journal is a Festschrift honoring three longtime DBTS professors, two retired and one active: Dr. William W. Combs, Dr. Robert V. McCabe, Jr., and Dr. R. Bruce Compton.

• Dr. Combs served at the Seminary from 1983-2015 in multiple roles, including the New Testament Department chair, registrar, and academic dean. He also oversaw the conception of the DBSJ in 1996 and served as its editor until 2014.
• Dr. McCabe served at the Seminary from 1983-2016. He served as academic registrar for 30 years and chaired the Old Testament Department.
• Dr. Compton began serving at DBTS in 1984. He currently serves as the New Testament Department chair and Professor of Biblical Languages and Literature.

In addition to articles written by DBTS faculty, multiple alumni have contributed to this year’s extended 11-article volume, in commemoration of the faithful service of these Christian gentlemen and scholars.

Since 1996, the Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal has used original research and writing to address a number of topics in various fields, including theological, exegetical, and missional concerns.
