Frederick William Danker: RIP

by | Feb 4, 2012 | Articles

Today is the memorial service in St. Louis for Frederick Danker, who died on Thursday. Danker was the editor of the Bauer-Danker-Arndt-Gingrich Greek lexicon (BDAG), which is the standard Greek dictionary of the New Testament. Those of us who teach New Testament Greek can never seem to communicate to our students the importance of this work–there is nothing more valuable for understanding the Greek text. See the nice tributes by Rod Decker and Will Varner.
