Last week Dr. Carl Trueman had an informative post that touches on this spring’s Gospel Coalition conference. At this conference the issue of the historicity of Adam and Eve will be treated. With some key evangelical leaders embracing theistic evolution, it has become a prominent topic, so this should be an interesting discussion. Drs. Al Mohler and Bryan Chapell will have a workshop titled “Are Adam and Eve Historical Figures?” Another related issue that Trueman presents in this post concerns how key individuals in this group can strongly support complementarianism while holding to some form of theistic evolution. He correctly maintains we should be confused by evolutionary complementarianism. To get the full take on these two subjects from Trueman’s own captivating perspective, read “Adam and Eve and Pinch Me.”
