DBTS 2020 Graduate: Caleb Wagner

Posted By

Since we were not able to hold our commencement this year at DBTS, we are highlighting one of our graduates each day. Today we would like to recognize Caleb Wagner.

Caleb was born in Sandusky, MI, in 1993, the son of Robert and Sherry Wagner. He came to personally trust in Christ when he was 7 years old. While playing at his cousin’s house, his cousin, who had just been to a Vacation Bible School, asked him if he had ever trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Though Caleb understood the gospel from growing up in church, the question helped him to realize that he had not personally responded to the gospel, which he proceeded to do in the basement of his cousin’s house. Caleb graduated from Maranatha Baptist University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies and in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies.

At DBTS, we recognize that our students could not get through their programs without the faithful and loving help and support of their wives, especially, and their family. Caleb is married to the former Rebekah England of Anchorage, AK, and they have two children, Caleb Jr. and Charity.

Caleb is a member of Grace Baptist Church of Birmingham, MI. While in seminary, Caleb served as vice president of the student body.

I personally, am thankful for the commitment to his studies that Caleb has shown, working diligently to do his best for the Lord. After graduation, Caleb plans to become a candidate for service with Bibles International with the goal of working in a new department called Scripture Use which will advance the Bible translation work that Bibles International has been doing in Southeast Asia.
